... I see that clock upon the wall, well it don’t bother me at all. *

How was your life before Hedi Slimane ? I remember myself always wanting to buy a fitted shirt or jumper and always feeling unsatisfied . I remember going into baby department stores or going directly to women section. A Size Small for a man? Sorry we only buy from Medium on they used to tell me. (and the medium of the 90es was an extra large of today).
When Slimane arrived at Dior Homme and Karl started his diet a revolution in men's silhouette started. It was probably the most remarkable fashion phenomenon of the beginning of this century and with all the world adopting his slim philosophy, Slimane left the game in the middle of the fun because not feeling totally free. Rumors oh him as an artist were around since a lot of time and despite some bad feedback he carried on his work in the most private way. Today I can really say there isn't any contemporary photographer that can use black and white like him since the times of Robert Mapplethorpe and his work is so limpid and honest that yes, I really think he is working into changing fashion photography too.

...in the waiting time?

The day I heard Polaroid was stopping producing instant cameras I really went sad. The digital era killed the magic but not the love and affection to this object, which will never go out of people hearts.
To celebrate the myth of Polaroid ,
The Observer gave eight leading contemporary photographers Polaroid film and cameras for a day (Harry Borden , Nan Goldin, Tom Hunter , Mary McCartney, Martin Parr, Rankin , Lord Snowdon , Sam Taylor-Wood) and created The Polaroid project which is now showing at the Photographers' Gallery Shop until 31Th January 2010 .The Photographers’ Gallery Bookshop is also one of the few remaining places selling a wide range of Polaroid products and has been repackaging in new boxes designed by Paul Giambarda the last pieces left in the market.
In the waiting of 2010's back to production of new Polaroid format film by a group called the Impossible Project, this exhibition act as a reminder of the unique nature of the instant camera that changed the world of photography.

You should buy it now...and eventually leave it in heritage to your daughter-sister-protege in some years . And if I was you...I would buy two.

...add some Wasp Milanese style?

Lucio Vanotti e Marika Masi created the project "February" in 2002 as an experimental little collection of unisex printed t-shirts for the Japanese market which rapidly expanded into a complete man and woman collection. Mellow, light, gentle : the Spring-Summer collection 2010 is inspired by Diane and Woody golden years and created for people that have a certain relationship with their clothes. An intimate relationship, as said by Masi and Vanotti , like the one you have with your favourite t-shirt : pieces to wear everyday that will never get lost in the mess of our closets.
