Rose Repetto was very well known for her ballet shoes and her technique (cousu retournè) when Brigitte Bardot hit up her atelier 1956. She went in and asked for a no weight - ultraflat shoe to walk in the city ...and she wanted it red. The ballerina shoe was born that day and everyone, from the famous to the infamous, copied that model.
